I love this keyboard!, September 6, 2006 - By  Neilisa (Tulsa, OK United States)   I'm one of the many who have been typing for years; from college where I earned money as a typist, to secretarial work, and now as a software engineer and a part-time writer, so needless to say that my keyboard is basically a constant companion.From years of typing I've come to learn my likes and dislikes of keyboards. I was one of those who ordered the very first Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard as soon as it came out, and I fell in love with it. After seven years, my faithful keyboard finally gave up the ghost and so I was forced to purchase another.I was at first lured to purchase a different brand name ergonomic keyboard because it was cheaper, and boy did I regret that decision. Some of the keys were moved from their standard positions, the ENTER key was much larger, which meant the SHIFT key was smaller and the back slash key was moved to the last row.The spacing between the number keys was wider so I had to readjust my reach, and, to make things worse, the keys kept sticking.The whole layout was not to my taste.In contrast, this keyboard is perfectly suited to me. The keys tap much softer which means my fingers don't absorb as much shock when I'm typing. I type over a 100 wpm and when your fingers fly over the board, they tend to tap harder.The keys are also laid out exactly how you would expect them to like any other keyboard. The shortcuts are my favorites where some are pre-set with others that you can set yourself.Basically, I have no complaints.I'm very happy with my purchase.

Solid and sturdy but can be unreliable, August 12, 2009 - By  Peter Ridge (USA)   The M-Audio SP-1 US65000 is a sturdy and solid pedal. The case is metal, not plastic, so it'll hold up well over time. The rubber pads on the top and bottom keep it from moving around, though the pads have a tendency to come loose.The main reliability issue with the pedal is the low-cost construction inside. Instead of having the pedal actuate a switch inside, there's just a stiff bare wire that presses down against another bare wire to make contact. It works and is cheaper to manufacture than using a real switch. However, if the pedal goes unused for a few days, oxidation forms on the bare wire, which results in unreliable contact and flaky pedal response. Depressing the pedal a dozen or more times clears off the oxidation. If it doesn't, opening the pedal and cleaning the wire resolves any inconsistent/noisy pedal signals.If you're handy with a soldering iron, replacing the pseudo-switch with a real momentary contact switch would yield a really great pedal.

Good Enough for Me, December 7, 2007 - By  Mike- listed for compatibility.This pedal's claim of any keyboard holds true for this one.The only negative I've found is it seems like the physical click sound of the pedal button is a little louder than I would have liked.All in all, this pedal seems good for the price.

As a matter of fact I cannot see what 88-key keyboard it would. When I put it on and lay it flat there is still an octave and a half of keyboard left to cover. Stretching it still leaves me with a half and octave before the other end slips off. I suppose this helps someone and I like the construction of these covers, but give us a heads up on what keyboards will not fit.

This is a unique keyboard and is really useful if you do any music production of any kind on your computer. It works with all major music sequencers that matter. This will save you boatloads of time mixing and probably spark some creativity. I'm not even a keyboardist...I play guitar, but being able to mix with this, use it as a sample trigger, the velocity pads...laying down some simple lines on the keyboard....all on one device..it's a life saver, not to mention a space saver. Buy it on Amazon...the other musical go to sites out there can not hold a candle to Amazon on pricing. Look for yourself.

both standalone or within ProTools. It was pretty easy to figure out how to map one set of sounds to one keyboard and another to the other. Keys are semi weighted and the action is what was expected. The N1 has 88 fully weighted keys so I didn't need a full keyboard or fully weighted keys on the Axiom. It might have been nicer to have purchased the Axiom Pro 61, but there was a serious price difference for the extra octave without any other benefit.So far I am very happy.

Heck "Breakpoint" (San Mateo, CA)    or WDM drivers; it's ASIO or nothing, because M-Audio's MME/WDM drivers are so bad, I was completely convinced this thing had both a noise gate and a lousy ADC, when it turned out to be driver issues.The pre-amp doesn't have as much gain as you might hope, but if you've got it cranked and you can barely get anything out of an SM-57, something is WRONG with your install.Try using ASIO.I had absolutely horrible results with Adobe Audition 1.0, but the 2.0 demo, using ASIO, a few reboots, and some tweaking, finally sounds perfect.That said, the headphone output on this thing is awesome.Oh, rock on.I hope I can get this thing working properly, because the only real competition is about three times the price.NOTE: This device has PARTIAL support available for Linux/ALSA, with more on the way.That is independent support, mind you-- NOT M-Audio drivers.I will revise/replace this review as I see better results; this is already better than my last one.
